TODAY I am especially proud to support several local EAPs,

Mental health has been at an all time low since 2020 and has shown no signs of improvement…

EAP” stands for Employee Assistance Program, which is a voluntary, confidential program that offers services to employees and their families to help with personal and work-related issues.

EAPs can help with a wide range of issues, including:
– Mental health: Stress, grief, psychological disorders, and other mental health issues
– Substance abuse: Alcohol, prescription drugs, and other substance abuse
– Family issues: Family problems, marital issues, and caregiver support
– Financial issues: Financial and legal issues, including financial wellness tools
– Career management: Career management and work-life balance
– Workplace violence: Preventing and responding to workplace violence and trauma

EAPs can offer a variety of services, including:
– Free and confidential assessments
– Short-term counseling
– Referrals to treatment
– Management consultation
– Employee education
– Organizational assessments
– Self-assessment tools
– Community resources
– Webinars and Wellness Seminars

EAPs originated in the late 1930s as a way to address the effects of occupational alcoholism on job performance. Today, EAPs are considered a key part of a company’s wellness plan.

You can check with your health insurance carrier to see if they provide EAP services, or to get help identifying local EAP providers TODAY!
